Does the expansion of ebook options impact how much people read?
Search Statement:
expan* AND ebook* AND read*
Deep Web Resource:
I used Academic Search Premier which is funded by EBSCOhost. It is a deep web database that is paid for by Clark Community College for its students to use. I input my boolean search statement (listed above) in the search box as is, and I got 141 results. I then shrunk my results by lookin solely at trade publications and got 65 results. The first listed article's abstract was discussed how in California there was an effort made to assemble a team that was required to investigate how to increase the amount of ebooks available so that there would be more of an oppurtunity for people to read.

Open Web Resource:
I used Goole as my free open web search engine. When I first input the same statement, most every result was a website that had ebooks or an ebook themselves. This is not what i wanted so I added "article" to the end of my statement. This also was not great but it did have some articles about ebooks.

Article Review on the Open Web Article:
The author has clearly done her homework. She has shown that the use of ebooks and technology for students is very important. it is cost effective because the online textbooks cost about 9.99 instead of the overpriced books that need to be renewed every so and so years, which are currently being used.
There are companies such as Google and Apple who have switched up their system to help provide a system that is in complete support of education. It is a new and different time for electronic books and the market for other educational tools.
Not just ebooks but other parts of technology are bettering education because students can now save files and notes so easily and take them wherever they need to go, with the right supplies. The amount of ebooks available has dramatically expanded and students can easily have all of their books ready to be read on one small tablet.
All in all, the use of technology is growing and is so helpful to students in bettering their education.
